PHASE 1 LOT SALES COMMENCE
AT WHISKEY JACK RESORT
SPARWOOD, BC - Whiskey Jack Resort, the ambitious 675
acre development nestled in the heart of the picturesque Elk Valley, rang
in the New Year by initiating Phase 1 lot sales. The marquee attraction
of this multi-faceted 4-season resort is an 18-hole Fred Couples
Signature golf course. Additionally, there will be 15 km of trails for
hiking, biking or cross-country skiing woven through the development.
Important amenities in the rustic-themed community planned by the
much-honoured firm, Oberto Oberti Architecture and Urban Design,
Inc., include a Resort Centre with spa, exercise, and banquet facilities -
plus a magnificent golf Clubhouse. The 119 generously sized lots in
Phase 1 are priced from $130,000, with available sizes to over a halfacre.
Over 2/3rds of the lots will line the golf course.
Noted professional golfer Fred Couples and his design partner Gene Bates - winner of “Best New Golf Course” awards for the past four years from Golf and Golf Digest magazines - have crafted a course that takes full advantage of Whiskey Jack’s natural surroundings. Several glacier-fed streams run through the course - which will have a number of memorable water features. Alpine meadows, old growth forest, and the Kootenay Rockies add to the unique character of the course, which Couples describes as “spectacular!”
Oberti’s internationally renowned firm has a 35-year history of creating prominent projects in Western Canada, with their most recent accolades earned for designing the lodge at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in BC.
According to Frank Hughes, whose Royal LePage 4-Seasons Realty
is handling sales for the Whiskey Jack Resort Community, “The interest
in Whiskey Jack has been growing significantly since our groundbreaking
ceremony this past June, and there’s quite a demand for
premium residential and vacation property in the Elk Valley. I fully
expect this first offering to sell very quickly.”
Hughes went on to say, “The Elk Valley has something for everyone, whether it’s fishing in the Elk River, skiing or snowboarding at Fernie Alpine Resort, or hiking the Kootenay Rockies. With its year-round activities, Whiskey Jack is perfect for either a permanent residence or vacation home.”
When completed, Whiskey Jack Resort will boast over 800 individual residences. They will include upscale single family dwellings, cabins, townhomes and condominiums. The Resort Centre will also combine a hotel and upper living suites with ground floor commercial space for quaint shops.
